Robin Mark Ventura

Playing for the White Sox, Mets, Yankees and Dodgers, Robin was a smooth fielding third baseman that could hit for power. He became only the fifth third baseman to hit at least 250 home runs and win at least five Gold Glove Awards (he won six in all). He ranks in most top ten offensive and defensive career categories for third basemen, and statistician Bill James rated him the outstanding third baseman of the 1990’s. In 2006, Ventura was inducted into the initial class of the College Baseball Hall of Fame, having earned three All-American honors at Oklahoma State.
