Kenneth Joseph Aspromonte
B: Sep 22, 1931, Brooklyn NY
Like his younger brother Bob, Ken is a former infielder who played for the Red Sox, Senators, Indians, Angels, Braves and Cubs from 1957 to 1963. Although he led the Pacific Coast League in batting as a minor leaguer, he never hit with the same proficiency in the majors and became primarily a part-time player. His best season was 1960, when he played in 117 games for the Indians and hit .288. In 1964, Aspromonte moved to Japan, where he played for the Chunichi Dragons and Taiyo Whales. After returning to the US, Ken managed the Indians during the 1972-1974 seasons.
